Sandy Beach (Best beach on river) Directions: From cabin, take a right onto Route 116, towards the ocean (west). Go serveral miles on 116 and take a left at the sign for Rein's Sandy Beach, take a right at the end of the road. Cost: $2.00 per person.

Goat Rock Beach (On the ocean) Directions : From cabin, take a right onto Route 116 follow until junction with Highway 1. Left onto Highway 1, follow until sign (on right) for Goat Rock Beach.

Armstrong Redwoods. Magnificent and good for easy to moderatly difficult hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Directions: From cabin, take a left onto Route 116, through Guernville to end of town, left on Armstrong Woods Road. Follow Armstrong Woods Road to the end.

Canoes. (For rent at Casini Ranch Campgrounds) Directions: From cabin, right onto Route 116 to Duncan's Mills, the first small town. Take a left immediatly before train car on your left. Follow signs to Casini Ranch Campgrounds, stop at General store to arrange rentals.

Wineries. Directions: From cabin, left onto Route 116, through Guernville, just east of Rio Nido, there is Korbel Vineyards. (Tasting, Tours, and Deli) Others are on the Rived Road, just east of Forestville, or north of River Road on Healdsburg Road, Westside Road, and Eastside Road. These are lovely winding roads that are great for a leisurely. Some of our favorites include Rabbit Ridge (Westside Road), A. Rafanelli (a bit past Healdsburg) and Z. Moore (on River Road, not too far from Highway 101.)

Westside Farm. Built in 1860, this farm is a great family trip. Directions: From cabin, take a left onto Route 116, past Guernville, left onto Westside Road. Continue 10-15 minutes, farm is on right. Note: In October, the Farm has a Pumpkin Patch and Hay Rides. During June, berry picking is open to the public. Also, animals and gift shop are open spring, summer, and fall.
